Something about My Glasses
I have been myopia for more than 12 years. Now I am 22. In the past 12 years, I have kept wearing prescription glasses at almost any time except when I am asleep. So my glasses mean more than simple glasses to me, they may be companions deciding whether I am comfortable or not. By 12 years of wearing experience, I can judge whether a pair of reading glasses is qualified or not according to some standards.
Before I went to the university, my parents will accompany to go to the local glasses shops and buy my prescription glasses when it is necessary to change a now pair of glasses. So I cared little about the prices and often chose the slap-up frames and lenses. Most of the time, a single pair of glasses would cost my parents about 500 dollars. But I took them for granted. I never noticed that my parents’ glasses were in patterns of 10 years ago and their glasses are much lower in level.

Since I came to the college, I have to budget all the expense for myself and the alimony for each month is limited. My parents suddenly treat me as an adult and cue all my money resource except that they pay the tuition for me which means I have to feed on myself. I thought I would handle myself quite well, since I have been an adult. Actually, now I have done it quite well by working hard in my spare time and carefully spend every cents of the money I have owed.
But things went in opposite way at the beginning of my college life. At that time, I didn’t know where to find the part-time job and face the embarrassing situation of keeping hunger for days. I asked my parents for help and they gave me some money which can support me for a few weeks. I began to realize the difficulty of making a living and reconsider the way I used to spend the money.
Now I can properly handle myself, which means I would never face the embarrassing situation of starving any more, but I still feel short of money when I want to buy something which is belongs to daily objects such as glasses. I have worn the same glasses since 4years ago and now they have been badly scratched. I have to find a shop which can provide me cheap glasses but at the same time with the quality with the paralleling quality as my past glasses.
