In recent years, nearsightedness has become commonplace, yet a more and more serious problem among us. People, particularly many young people, will have the experience of putting on the eyeglasses for the first time. Beyond not being used to wearing glasses, I bet you’re sure to meet with much confusion about eyeglasses. If you have the same trouble, here I would like to share with you some knowledge on it in order to save you from the same bewilderment.

Knowledge on Wearing Glasses for the First Time

A preparing period is needed for you to adjust yourself to the eyeglasses when you first wear glasses. It is quite normal if you feel dizzy or see things magnify shrink or brighter. It takes one two weeks to overcome the above uncomfortable symptoms. If you still don’t feel well after two weeks or more, you can try the after-sale service to reexamine your eyesight.

Lens with multi-membranes and resin lens should not be directly wept with a cloth when the lens is dirty as it would cause scratches on the surface of the lens. The appropriate way is to clean the lens with clean water or some detergent. After rinsing them with running water, dry them softly.

If you change your glasses into new ones of the same diopters, you’ll also need another preparing period to adjust to the differences in seeing things caused by the differences in the shape of the frame or the radian measure on the surface of the frame for spectacles.

When you see things with the rim of the ultra-thin lens, there will also appear the rainbow phenomenon. The stronger your eyeglasses are, the more obvious the phenomenon is. However, don’t be worried about it. It is a normal thing after all.

As for those who wear frameless eyeglasses, you should protect your lens from pressure, keep them in the box when you don’t need them and put them on with both of your hands otherwise since the lens are connected with only four screws.

I would like to end this essay with a suggestion for the old people who wear reading glasses: Reading glasses should be used only when there is a need to read. You mustn’t use them when walking.

As the saying goes, a good beginning is half done. Getting more knowledge about wearing eyeglasses will never be a waste of time; instead, it will save you from much bewilderment. Therefore, take action from now on and gain more fun along the way.
