I have not had the habit of eating fish ever since I was a little child; in a word, I am not interested in that kind of flavor. My mother used various kinds of methods to persuade me to eat it, but I just have a deep sense of contradicting fish. Whenever I went out with my friends, they also tried to make me eat some fish, by keeping on saying the importance of the nutrition that is contained in fish. I have been considered a strange person by almost all the people surrounding me.
But during these days, I began trying to take in some fish. This is really a surprise even to me. My mother calls this as a breakthrough. But there is also a reason for this breakthrough.
When I went to the hospital to have my eyes examined last week, the doctor said that I must put aside my personal habit of avoiding fish. She said that the nutrition in fish cannot be found in other food, and that is very essential for the health of the eyes.
She added that to eat fish does not mean that it will do a certain good effect for my eyes’ health, but to keep on avoiding eating it will certainly do some bad effect to the eyes, especially for me, whose body is not very strong and illness-battled.
So after a long night of thinking about this problem, I began to break my former habit. The different types of my eyes’ problems have maintained over the last ten years, at least I thought so. Then I will change my stubborn idea to check out if fish is really essential for me.
In former times, I don’t believe in the theory of balance among different nutrition. I thought that to eat enough for my daily activities is just where the significance of taking meals lies in. But now, although this kind of false idea is put out of my brain, many of the bad habits remain till now.
Maybe all I need is just a change.
